KIRUNA, SWEDEN

JANUARY, 2018

above the artic circle

Not many people get to experience the land above the artic cirlce. In summer the sun never sets and in December it doesn't show above the horizon. The winter light, or dusk, you do get refelects in the snow so it's not pitch black during the day, but a bluish light as you can see above. It's hard to explain. This time, we went in the beginning og January so the sun has just started to come back. The land above the artic circle. An amzing place whenever you visit. The nature, the people and the ever present light. Three good reason to come here and experience it for yourself.

The cold wasn't nearly as bad as it can get in January. It kept around -15 to - 18 Centigrade (5 to 0 F) so it was manageable. The week was maily spent with family but we got some opportunities to try out the drone and also did some stills.
